Wed Aug 5, AM update: For Wed-Fri (Aug 5-7): Significant wildfire smoke remains in the area at the surface and overhead. Wednesday, much of the area will be UNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE groups to UNHEALTHY. More smoke may mix down throughout the day and areas may reach UNHEALTHY to VERY UNHEALTHY for shorter periods. Wed night cleaner marine air should push in and somewhat reduce smoke for most of the region. On Thursday clearing should continue and we should return to GOOD to MODERATE by the evening. We'll update the discussion as conditions change.
